Guy gets roasted online as a “cheapskate” after getting ticketed for not parking in the $12 lot: ‘The math is mathing and it’s ugly’

Have you ever had to take the fall for your own mindless behavior? 

We all mess up every now and then while trying to take shortcuts for things we don't want to do (or pay extra for). The thing is, those shortcuts are not usually well thought out and the internet agrees.

Reddit user u/Ok_Title_4455 was trying to pinch a penny or two, but instead ended up paying even more than he was trying to avoid. He was driving to a dentist appointment and didn't want to use the garage because he would've had to pay $12. He didn't like the sound of that, so he went out of his way to find a free parking spot. He thought he had found the perfect place, only to come back later to see a $75 ticket on his windshield. Tough luck, my friend.

I 100% understand wanting to save money when you can, but come on! You always have to read the fine print before going with a cheaper option. 

One of my grandma's friends usually says, "Cheap things are expensive," meaning that, if you want to save on something without investigating first, you'll end up paying twice as much as you expected. This guy definitely learned to do his research more carefully, or at the very least to read the entire sign. 

The internet agrees and the comment section is roasting this cheapskate. They must have called him "cheap" about a hundred times AT LEAST. Of course, they also made a point to notice his car could have been towed. And that definitely would have cost more than $12. He was lucky, but everyone online agrees she should've just paid for the $12 parking.
